Business and Organisational Restructuring
TianPo Jewellery is owned by one of Singapore's leading retail families, which also owns Lim's Arts & Living. The predecessors of TianPo were a loosely organised chain of family-run jewellery stores that operated under different names including Tiensin Jewellery, Tianpo Jewellery, Asian Jewellery and Lim's Diamond. The operations were largely decentralised. By being fragmented and enjoying no brand equity under a common identity, the chain of stores came under tremendous pressure from the bigger and more aggressive competitors.
FT Consulting started being involved with the Lim's retail business in 1997. The first exercise undertaken was Strategic Planning and Business Restructuring for the group. One key conclusion of the exercise was that the jewellery unit could no longer operate as disparate brands in the face of heightening competition. A unified brand, in the form of TianPo, was therefore adopted. Operational and organisational restructuring followed suit to bring more cohesion to the management of the business. A new brand identity and positioning was also created jointly with FT and its design partner, giving the brand a distinctive look and feel, and still reflecting the unique characteristics and values of the family business. A uniform employee reward and administration system was subsequently implemented.
The Leap Forward
Today, TianPo continues its transformation. Employee engagement is high. The brand can claim many notable achievements as a leader in the jewellery industry, including being the first in Singapore to launch an extensive range of contemporary Italian jewellery collection. Dubbed by leading fashion magazines as a jeweller whose pieces are always tempered with a fashion edge, TianPo now has 9 stores island-wide.replica watches replica rolex watches rolex replica watches replica watches uk replica watches cartier replica watches
